Job Description

Expeditors exchanges over 35 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages each month with our customers, service providers, and government agencies. EDI provides tremendous business value. The Connected Customer Developer creates and maintains EDI based business translations that exchange electronic messages with internal and external systems. You will be part of a team that is responsible for analyzing, testing, installing, and supporting this business critical information.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solid knowledge in at least one high-level language e.g. C /C, Java, PHP or Python
  • Understanding of database structures and data relationships
  • Ability to design creative solutions to meet client's business and technical needs
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time management
  • Programming experience (4-year degree or a minimum of 1 year of professional experience)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • EDI knowledge (ANSI, EDIFACT, & RosettaNet standards)
  • Understanding of the transportation/logistics industry
  • Experience with SQL
  • WebMethods development experience is a strong plus

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $80,000 to $120,000
