Cal Land Engineering & Associates, Inc. is a growing provider of land surveying, civil, and geotechnical engineering services. Were currently seeking a highly motivated Associate Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brea, CA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Please note: Applicants must be based in the U.S. and have relevant U.S. work experience.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure technical accuracy, adherence to standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation in reports and designs.
Evaluate design alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other internal divisions, including land surveying and geotechnical engineering.
Interpret engineering specifications and drawings; recommend and document design modifications in coordination with the Project Manager.
Assess engineering challenges, propose practical solutions, and support safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution.
Assist the Project Manager/Principal Engineer with managing day-to-day tasks and crew workload.
What Were Looking For
EIT or PE certification is preferred.
Bachelor's/Master Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
At least 4 year of U.S. civil engineering experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Hands-on experience with site development including grading, drainage, street design, permitting, erosion control, hydrology, storm drainage, water distribution, and sewer systems.
Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $75,000 $100,000 annually (Includes performance bonus)
