Position Overview:

We are seeking an Associate Attorney who is ready to manage their own case load while benefiting from the guidance and mentorship of experienced partners. This position is ideal for someone who is confident in their ability to handle cases independently but also comfortable seeking help when needed. This firm will provide you with the opportunity to grow your knowledge and experience limited only by your own comfort level.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting (California Civil Rights Department) charges, complaints, discovery, and meet and confer letters.

Taking and defending depositions.

Preparing legal memoranda and motions.

Attending hearings, mediations, and conferences with opposing counsel and arbitrators.

Conducting legal research with an eye toward threading the needle of the specific facts of each case to align with applicable law.

Managing your own case load with support from experienced partners as needed.

Qualifications:

Active license to practice law in California.

Practicing law for 3-6 years.

Deposition experience.

Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

Preferred: Experience in employment litigation a plus but more interested in active litigation experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $125,000 - $160,000 DOE.

Performance-based bonus structure plus discretionary bonus.

Matching 401(k) plan.

Unlimited PTO plus 5 sick days annually.
