POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an Associate Attorney who is a passionate advocate for immigration and immigrant rights, dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of immigration law, including non-immigrant visas, humanitarian visas, consular processing, waivers, and federal litigation. The Associate Attorney will represent clients in USCIS interviews, EOIR court hearings, and appellate work. This position requires a dynamic and driven individual who is committed to defending the rights of immigrants while navigating complex legal processes with professionalism and integrity.

OBJECTIVES

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including briefs, RFEs, motions, and USCIS applications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis for hearings, EOIR proceedings, and client consultations.
  • Advise clients on legal strategies and solutions to resolve conflicts in their cases.
  • Collaborate with associates and clients to ensure efficient case management and timely resolution.
  • Perform pre-sale consultations, assess eligibility, and address client qualification inquiries.
  • Handle client communications professionally through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure accurate and efficient processing of client cases.
  • Stay updated on immigration law changes, participate in training, and uphold confidentiality and data protection standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, preferred with expertise in Immigration Law
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in-office at the firm's Vista, CA location.
  • Must be able to handle the emotional and mental demands of working with sensitive immigration cases

PAY

  • $80,000 - $125,000/year + quarterly bonuses

BENEFITS

  • Medical, 75% premium coverage
  • 401k, 100% company match on first 3%, 50% on next 2%
  • PTO, 80 hours, increasing after 2 years of employment
  • Sick PTO, 40 hours
  • Holiday Pay, total of 8 holidays per year
  • Schedule
  • Full-time (40 hours per week); typically Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT
