Compensation:$75,000 - $91,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
- Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
- Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
- Handle probate and trust administration, including filings, court appearances, and client communication.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on estate planning and probate issues.
- Assist clients with estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and other essential documents.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure exceptional client service.
- Manage cases efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Stay current on changes in estate planning and probate law.
Qualifications:- Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Washington.
- 1-5 years of experience in estate planning and probate law (preferred but not required).
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
- Strong client service skills with a compassionate and professional approach.
