Position Overview
We are a distinguished law firm with over 50 years of experience in providing top-tier legal services in family law. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of family law experience, be barred in California, and possess excellent litigation and negotiation skills. This position offers the flexibility to work primarily remote from either our Palo Alto or San Ramon location.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Provide clients with sound legal advice and develop effective case strategies.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in family law.
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
