ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking a motivated, self-starting Associate Attorney to join our Trial Department. This person will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients' rights, in and out of the courtroom. This person must be dedicated to delivering outstanding legal services to clients.

This is a hybrid role based in our San Diego office.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

$100,000- $150,000 annually. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking, and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Make court appearances ranging from status conferences to trial.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 0-3 years of litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with E-Discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine and OneLegal.
  • Detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
