Associate Attorney - Finance - Restructuring & Special Situations Location: New York, NY
Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Financial Restructuring Associate Attorney to join their premier Restructuring & Special Situations practice in their New York office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex domestic and international financial restructurings across a broad range of industries as a 3rd-4th year associate.
Candidate Profile:

Active Bar Admission in New York(link removed)>
2+ years of substantive experience in financial restructuring(link removed)>
Experience representing debtors, creditors, lenders, sponsors, or other stakeholders in out-of-court workouts , liability management transactions , and Chapter 11 proceedings (link removed)>
Familiarity with the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, Article 9 of the UCC, and other relevant financial regulatory frameworks(link removed)>
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and commercially thoughtful approach to client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on the full range of restructuring matters, including complex liability management transactions, distressed financings, and formal insolvency proceedings.
Draft and negotiate key restructuring documents such as credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, restructuring support agreements, and plans of reorganization.
Support corporate and financial institution clients on distressed M&A transactions and bankruptcy-related litigation.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys.
Interact directly with clients, financial advisors, and opposing counsel to develop and implement restructuring strategies.
