Seeking an Associate Attorney

Do you want to use your law degree to help bring people out of the handcuffs of a bad marriage or city jail and into a place of peace?
We are an entrepreneurial criminal defense and family law firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an associate to join our team and work directly with the owner and staff to support the team and help our clients. We want to be known for helping our clients come out of an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast, and we need an associate who can hit the ground running.
This position will be responsible for important work, including:
- Passing cases and running criminal docket
- Reviewing discovery in criminal and family law cases
- Working directly with clients
- Strategizing with Owner and communicating plans to clients
- Drafting legal documents, motions, petitions, and more in family law cases
- Negotiating with opposing counsel
- Prepping for hearings and trial
We love to help people learn and grow. But we don't have the time to start from scratch right now. We need an associate with one to three years experience in criminal or family law. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. This is a Full time job where you are expected to manage a caseload, so you absolutely must be able to work for 40 hours per week. However, we are a remote office, so outside of court-time, you can work almost entirely from home.
