Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to assess coverage issues and provide legal advice to clients.
• Handle a diverse caseload of insurance coverage matters as the lead attorney, including claims disputes and litigation.
• Draft legal documents, including opinion letters, pleadings, and briefs, with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys for mentorship and guidance while maintaining independence in case management.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic advice.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in insurance law and related regulations.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Membership: Active membership in the South Carolina Bar (or eligibility for membership).
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage law, including policy analysis and litigation.
