Trustpoint.One is proud to assist a prominent law firm client in Alpharetta in their search for a talented Associate Attorney to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in sophisticated professional liability litigation, including legal malpractice defense and State Bar disciplinary matters. The position begins on a part-time (20-25 hours/week) basis for an initial 30-60 day evaluation period, with the strong potential to transition into a full-time salaried role.
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong foundation in case strategy, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy
- Superior writing and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and clarity
- A proactive, independent work style, with the ability to manage caseloads and deadlines effectively
- Active membership in the Georgia Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
- Interest or background in professional liability law; prior experience is a plus, but not required
Your Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client matters from intake through resolution
- Draft comprehensive responses to State Bar disciplinary proceedings
- Provide guidance to clients on ethics and risk management issues
- Handle discovery, including eDiscovery, document review, and production
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and substantive legal memoranda
- Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions
- Represent clients at hearings and motion arguments
- Partner with senior attorneys on trial preparation and courtroom strategy
- Maintain clear communication with clients and insurance carriers
- Contribute to business development efforts, including seminars, presentations, and firm events
