Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its legal team in San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for a newly admitted attorney with a keen interest in civil liability defense, including product liability, premises liability, transportation, and construction defense litigation. The selected candidate will gain hands-on litigation experience while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties:

Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis.

Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court proceedings.

Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and litigation tactics.

Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently to meet deadlines and case objectives.

Requirements:

0-2 years of experience in general civil liability, construction defect, or insurance defense litigation.

Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills.

Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

Strong litigation and case management abilities.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound strategies.

Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.

Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
