Required Qualifications:
  • Successful coaching experience, preferably at the middle and high school level.
  • Alternate qualifications may be considered.
  • Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Background that includes a high level of volleyball knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
A successful candidate will be able to:
  • Relate to and instruct student athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
  • Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play.
  • Work cooperatively with administration and staff.
  • Encourage student participation in the sport.
  • Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
  • Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline, and fundamental teaching skills.
  • Work with other coaches by supporting and encouraging students to participate in other sports.
  • Communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary: As per the negotiated district contract.
