The Assistant Superintendent assists the Campanelli Project Team in overseeing and managing all aspects of a construction project, including the coordination of sub-contractors, materials, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, laborers, and construction activities.
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation, including daily logs, weather reports, RFIs, and safety records.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.
  • Address on-site issues promptly and report conflicts or delays to the Superintendent.
  • Ensure the job site remains clean, secure, and presentable at all times.
  • Schedule and coordinate inspections with local and third-party agencies.
  • Update schedules with progress tracking and percent-complete metrics.
  • Manage current construction documents, both digital and physical.
  • Oversee assigned scopes of work or project phases under the Lead Superintendent's direction.
  • Support project closeout, including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with the project team, clients, designers, and all trade partners.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in commercial or multi-family projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and either Spanish or Portuguese preferred, not required.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) preferred, not required.
  • Proficient in Procore, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction documents, scheduling, inspections, and safety practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate across teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing jobsite operations.
  • Able to work Full time on-site and adapt to changing project needs.
