Pay: $21-$30/hr (Starting at $22.67)

Schedule: Open availability, including weekends, is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and mentor employees to ensure efficient, friendly service at registers and throughout the store.
  • Address employee performance issues with coaching and necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and HR on matters requiring progressive discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding personnel.
  • Understand and contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), translating operations into monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) results.
  • Assist with budgeting, with a focus on achieving sales and profit targets while minimizing shrinkage.
  • Participate in annual inventory management processes and ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Train front-end staff and other team members on necessary operational programs.
  • Support the Store Manager in enforcing compliance with policies and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, orientation, and training of assigned staff.
  • Provide daily operational direction to employees, including schedules, store goals, and sales targets.
  • Plan and execute in-store demonstrations to promote product sales.
  • Assist in managing product receiving, returns, and restocking.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, including promotional displays and signage.
  • Communicate merchandising and marketing initiatives to staff, ensuring proper execution and follow-up.
GENERAL OPERATING PROCEDURES:
  • Analyze monthly store reports to assess controllable expenses and overall store performance.
  • Address any performance variances with actionable plans, collaborating with the Store Manager as needed.
  • Ensure proper employee scheduling to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in emergency procedures.
  • Complete special assignments as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Adhere to, communicate, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION:
  • Sales Associates, Sales Department Leads
RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Internal: Required to interact with employees across all levels within the company.
  • External: Required to interact with customers and service providers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work is conducted in a retail store open to the public. Exposure to varying weather conditions is possible. The noise level is typically moderate, and work is mostly performed on a level surface, though some tasks may require using ladders or working at elevated heights. The temperature in the store can vary significantly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of four years in a retail work environment is required.
  • At least two years of management/supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Proficiency in computer use, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and internet applications.
  • Experience with cash handling is essential.

EDUCATION:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required. A degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting/Finance is preferred.
