Join our team as an Assistant Store Supervisor, where you'll play a vital role in managing daily store operations and driving overall performance. You'll assist in developing and executing operational plans, supervising staff schedules, and identifying training opportunities to help our team grow.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 38 hours per week
Starting Wage: $24.00 per hour
Wage Increase: Year 2 - $25.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities: Your role will encompass a variety of tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly:
- Support the Store Manager in implementing action plans to boost operational results.
- Clearly communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify opportunities for training and development to enhance employee performance.
- Promote company strategies and core values to foster teamwork.
- Monitor competition in the community and communicate necessary adjustments to leadership.
- Provide feedback on products and assist in the recruiting process for new hires.
- Ensure adherence to inventory, cash control, and product handling policies.
- Address and resolve operational customer concerns in the Store Manager's absence.
- Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and store equipment.
- Assist with product ordering and effective merchandising to maximize sales.
- Oversee that direct reports complete tasks on time and effectively to meet customer service standards.
- Follow all company policies while ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: - Ability to stock merchandise and manage items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, bend, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Job Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to establish effective communication and rapport with team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior management experience is preferred.
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience.
