WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As Assistant Store Manager you will be a core representative of the brand within the US, working closely with the Store Manager to build an inclusive and empowering community. In this role, you will play a vital role in bringing the NFD brand to life delivering NFD styling, exceptional customer service, driving sales and supporting daily store operations. As a leader within the sales team you will train and mentor staff, ensure stock is effectively managed and help to achieve sales targets. A key part of this role is boosting the store to meet KPI's whilst furthering the growth of our New York community.
You'll be responsible for:
• Customer Service: provide exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable service to all customers - creating an inclusive space and memorable store experience
• Sales and Targets: drive store sales through proactive team leadership, upselling, customer engagement and clientelling to ensure targets are met consistently.
• Team Leadership: assist in mentoring and training the sales team creating a supportive environment to foster personal development and team growth to improve sales performance.
• Stock Management: assist with stock control, inventory management and visual merchandising to ensure the store is well-stocked and merchandised to maximise product sell through.
• Product Knowledge: maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products and NFD styling to communicate the key brand USP's in store
• Problem Solving: take initiative and ownership of store success, bringing forward ideas to boost customer engagement and sales
• Store Operations: support the store manager with the management of daily operations and effective running of the store maintaining brand standards
• Reports and Feedback: assist in gathering and analysing sales data, report back to head office team providing feedback on customer preferences, product performance and store issues or opportunities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Retail Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a retail or sales environment with at least 1 year in a senior/leadership role
- Sales-Driver: proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Leadership Skills: experience managing and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative environment to drive store success and growth of the US community
- Systems: knowledge of Shopify POS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, inventory management and cash handling
- Problem-Solver: ability to adapt and find solutions in response to challenges, align with local activity or seasonal changes to ensure targets can be met
