Role overview:

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership and communication skills to guide their team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Store Manager in managing all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets, including setting sales goals and tracking performance.
  2. Create a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and developing staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
  3. Analyze sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions, identifying operational and commercial opportunities.
  4. Act as the point of contact in the Store Manager's absence.
  5. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
  6. Assist in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  7. Support cash management tasks such as transactions and till reconciliation.
  8. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
  9. Provide feedback and coaching to improve colleague performance.
  10. Assist in maintaining staff schedules for optimal coverage and productivity.
Role objectives and KPIs:
  1. Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store's monthly sales targets.
  2. Drive KPIs such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
  3. Achieve upselling and cross-selling targets.
  4. Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  5. Ensure stock accuracy during audits.
  6. Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  7. Maintain employee satisfaction and engagement scores.
  8. Help manage operational costs within the budget.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
  2. Passion for retail and awareness of latest trends and competitors.
  3. Experience coaching and developing staff.
  4. Proven track record of achieving sales and KPI targets.
  5. Ability to analyze KPI data for commercial decision-making.
  6. Attention to detail and commercial awareness; experience in visual merchandising is a plus.
  7. Ability to promote JD Group values to stakeholders.
