FlynnO'Hara School Uniforms is currently hiring a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager for our retail location in Davie, Florida. This role is responsible for supporting the Store Manager by overseeing sales, daily operations, asset protection, and HR-related duties to drive exceptional customer service and store profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Step in as acting Store Manager during their absence, assuming full responsibility for store operations.
  • Assist in supervising staff involved in sales, inventory management, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Ensure weekly staffing schedules are maintained for adequate floor coverage; verify accuracy of individual shift schedules.
  • Champion exceptional customer service by guiding team members to engage with customers and resolve inquiries or concerns professionally.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to submit timely stock requests and maintain optimal product availability.
  • Encourage team development through the use of product knowledge to boost sales performance and service quality.
  • Oversee store appearance, ensuring cleanliness, visual merchandising, and organization meet company standards; train staff in visual display best practices.
  • Uphold all opening/closing procedures, including handling cash, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling daily transactions.
  • Manage store loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets such as cash, merchandise, and property.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training; set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support employee growth to reduce turnover.
  • Lead by example to foster strong customer relationships and inspire team performance, setting the standard for sales and service behavior.
  • Drive email capture and customer data collection to enhance communication and marketing efforts.
  • Be available to travel for school events, company meetings, and off-site initiatives as needed.
  • Help coordinate and execute physical inventory counts, receive merchandise, and address inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure store operations remain compliant with all company policies and relevant legal requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of retail experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Windows-based programs.
  • Able to interpret sales and inventory data.
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and team members.
  • Confident decision-maker with conflict resolution experience.
  • Adaptable and composed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong delegation, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the store for extended periods.
  • Physically able to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, and reach frequently.
