The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) plays a vital role in supporting the general manager by overseeing the daily operations of the store and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Gauges of Responsibility:
  • Complete daily accounting paperwork punctually.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline hourly employees while holding them accountable for performance standards.
  • Monitor cash handling and inventory management, assisting in investigating shortages or variances as needed.
  • Maintain business records and review accountability sheets as directed by management.
  • Handle banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative tasks as requested, adhering to cash control policies.
  • Manage cash management procedures, including deposits and change orders.
  • Uphold Grand Opening Ready Standards according to store image guidelines.
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the store by complying with all safety and environmental standards, reporting issues promptly.
  • Manage gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries efficiently.
  • Engage actively in company promotional activities.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards throughout the store.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and any additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong reading, writing, counting, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures, including outside and in cooler areas.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, twisting, and climbing.
  • Full access to all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock areas, and registers.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
