Assistant Soccer Coach (9 month appointment): The position of Assistant Soccer Coach will hold a 50% appointment in the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Department of Intercollegiate Athletics ("the Department") and will report directly to UWL's Head Soccer Coach. The Assistant Coach will assist in the management of daily operations of a Division III intercollegiate women's soccer program competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in the planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, and administering of the soccer program to meet university and Department objectives. They will also be responsible for various administrative tasks associated with running an intercollegiate soccer program, potentially including, but not limited to, the planning of team travel; managing equipment and/or video and technology needs; managing social media accounts; and coordinating camps. The Assistant Coach must conduct themselves in such a way as to enhance respect for the university, the Department, UWL soccer program and UWL student-athletes.
Assistant to the Business Manager (10 month appointment): The position of Assistant to the Business Manager reports directly to the Athletics Business Manager. This position provides administrative support to the Athletics Business Manager, coaches and athletics staff members by acting as an assistant for all internal and external business and travel related operations. This position will assist the Athletics Business Manager in the daily management of the financial and travel operations of a Division III intercollegiate program. The Assistant to the Business Manager must comply with all applicable NCAA and WIAC rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Soccer coaching or playing experience at high school, club, or collegiate level.
- Knowledge of recruiting and coaching strategies.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Experience with, or demonstrated knowledge of business procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III and WIAC rules.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Collegiate coaching or participation experience.
• Collegiate recruiting experience.
