24 Seven is partnering with a global sportwear client based in Portland, Oregon to help them find an Assistant Site Merchandiser for this onsite position. This is a full-time, 6 month contract with high likelihood to extend or turn into a Full time opportunity. Ideal Candidate: will have a Bachelor's degree and brings 1-3 years of relevant work experience as well as demonstrate advanced Excel proficiency and possess strong analytical skills, blending quantitative and qualitative insights to drive strategic decisions.
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As the Assistant Site Merchandiser on the Digital Marketing team your primary responsibilities will consist of collaborating with sales and the digital marketing team to deliver category- and product-focused experiences that connect with the targeted consumer within the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with assortment planning, sales, and digital planning to gain deep understanding of objectives
Collaborate on the development and execution of a merchandising strategy that aligns with sales, marketing, and financial goals.
Organize and categorize products through strategic marketing content to enhance the shopping experience
Develop, create, and execute cross-category product presentations that support consumer shopping patterns
Apply a data-driven approach to merchandising while leveraging test-and-learn methodologies.
Utilize analytics and insights tools to identify merchandising opportunities that drive sales and improve the consumer experience
Support the market strategy and tiering plans, ensuring alignment with global merchandising frameworks
Proactively identify and recommend strategies for current and future product storytelling
Monitor trends in display, social, and content marketing, implementing relevant best practices, technologies, and features
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong theoretical foundation in merchandising principles
Experience using third-party merchandising tools
Insights-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing methodologies
Familiarity with processes, systems, and culture (or comparable experience)
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and adapting to evolving strategies
Ability to develop tactical plans that support larger strategic goals
Confidence in a continuous learning environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships quickly due to a team-first mentality
Background in visual merchandising and/or retail experience is preferred but not required
Experience working within the Amazon ecosystem is preferred but not required
