Job Summary: As an Assistant Service Advisor, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations in the service department. You will assist customers with vehicle service needs, communicate effectively with service technicians, and help manage the workflow to ensure that all vehicles are serviced efficiently and promptly. This role requires strong customer-facing skills, a solid understanding of automotive services, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
    • Answer customer inquiries about services, pricing, and scheduling.
    • Assist in writing repair orders and maintain a clear record of customer issues and needs.
    • Provide updates on vehicle status, expected completion times, and any unforeseen issues during the service process. Customer Interaction:
  • Service Coordination:
    • Assist the Service Advisors in managing the daily workflow of the service department.
    • Communicate parts and labor requirements with the parts department.
    • Ensure customer vehicles are scheduled and repaired as per manufacturer recommendations.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, work orders, and repair history.
    • Prepare invoices and process customer payments.
    • Assist with scheduling service appointments and managing service requests.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and professional service.
    • Address customer concerns, complaints, or special requests under the supervision of the Service Advisor or Service Manager.
    • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future service appointments.
  • Sales Support:
    • Promote dealership services, products, and warranty offerings.
    • Assist in upselling additional services or maintenance packages.
    • Manage internal repairs and ensure timely completion.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with service technicians, parts specialists, and other departments to ensure an efficient workflow.
    • Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all dealership staff.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher is a plus).
  • Previous experience in automotive service, customer service, or a related field required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as required.
