About the Role
In the role of Assistant Manager at a Wonder restaurant, you'll play a crucial role in assisting the General Manager with daily operations to ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and succeeds. Collaborating closely with the General Manager and team members, you will help cultivate a positive work environment, prioritize food and team member safety, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities - Assist the General Manager in engaging and motivating the restaurant staff.
- Recruit and train top-notch talent for our restaurant.
- Support the General Manager in achieving operational targets and budget goals.
- Maintain open communication regarding team achievements, operations, and protocol updates.
- Demonstrate effective floor management by strategically deploying staff to maximize efficiency.
- Drive restaurant sales and service efficiency by addressing operational challenges.
- Oversee inventory and ensure adherence to food safety protocols, emphasizing shelf life and product dating.
- Commit to ongoing training and development in both kitchen and dining operations to maintain high standards.
Manage Food Safety and Team Member Safety - Ensure consistent adherence to food safety and security protocols.
Provide Exceptional Customer Service - Ensure all team members deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
Your Experience - Minimum of two years' supervisory or management experience in a high-volume Quick Service or full-service restaurant.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and develop teams of 15 or more members.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a drive for efficiency and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor with adherence to policies and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player.
Requirements - Must be 21 years or older and legally authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of a full shift.
- Must have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Must possess a current Food Handlers Certification.
Role Details
- Salary Range: $64,350 - $78,750 per year.
- Location: New York, New York.
