Position Summary Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking an Assistant Registrar to support the Executive Director of Student Success, Registrar. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of academic records, assisting with the implementation of a new student information system, overseeing registration and grade reporting processes, managing National Student Clearinghouse reporting, coordinating international student certification, and serving as a subject matter expert for the Records team.
Required Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in education, business, counseling, or related field and 4 years of Higher Education work-related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job's essential duties

Duty and Responsibility - Serve as the secondary data trustee for the Student Information System (Colleague).
Duty and Responsibility - Serves as the Designated School Official (DSO-F1) for international students, maintaining the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and all related certification requirements for students and faculty. Serves as an international education program liaison to the business office and third-party billing.
Duty and Responsibility - Manage and execute the National Student Clearinghouse reporting process for the college
Duty and Responsibility - Manage systems, processes, and procedures related to term-based enrollment and registration activities while ensuring compliance with state, federal and NCCCS record auditing procedures and guidelines.
Duty and Responsibility - Support the daily operations of the Registrar's Office, ensuring the timely completion of local, state, and federal student records reporting and verification. Responsibilities include processing applications, evaluating high school transcripts, managing course withdrawals, certifying and updating grades, overseeing the academic probation process, and verifying scholastic honors.
Duty and Responsibility - Assist in the assessment and enhancement of student processes to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to students and the community
Duty and Responsibility - Uphold the confidentiality of student information by ensuring faculty and staff are informed of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Enforce and ensure compliance with the College's academic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Duty and Responsibility - Manage data elements related to student records, as well as provide professional development and support for areas of the college whose staff advise and register curriculum students.
Duty and Responsibility - Work collaboratively with the Assessment and Credit for Prior Learning Center to support the graduation and credentialing process, as well as the evaluation of college transfer credit.
Duty and Responsibility - Collaborate with the Institutional Effectiveness Office to ensure the accuracy of data for ICR submission.
