Minimum age of 16. Must possess a valid Class "C" driver's license from NC. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Assists with the daily operations of an assigned recreation center to include programming, special events, supervising facilities and daily cleaning/maintenance of the facility. Experience working in a recreation center or setting and working with diverse populations. The preferred applicant will have an Associates Degree in Recreation or a related field. Must be available to work a varied schedule throughout the week with primary duty hours being worked in the afternoons and evenings.
Duty hours will vary between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm Monday - Friday, Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and other days and times as necessary.
Major Duties Assists with the daily operations of the recreation department and facilities
Supervising facility.
Daily cleaning/maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Qualifications Experience working in a recreation center or setting.
Experience working with diverse populations.

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull and/or move more than 50 pounds. An employee in this position will have successfully passed a "Functional Prework Screen" administered by a professional and impartial third party specialist.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in an office and at recreational facilities.
