About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with the Commercial Lead on hospital, education, and Ministry of Justice projects across North London and Hertfordshire. You would be joining a Tier 1 Main Contractor who have an excellent industry reputation and rarely hire for this team so this is a great opportunity available. Their office is based near Watford and their projects run across North London and the Home Counties. With a company annual turnover of over 2bn, their divisions run as separate entities so it still has a smaller/regional business feel with access to the management team.
Key Responsibilities of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Procuring subcontract packages
- Managing payments to subcontractors
- Feeding in to CVRs
- Measuring works
Key Requirements of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Experience with a main contractor managing packages from procurement to final accounting
- Ideally knowledge of PFI Contract, however this is not essential
