We are hiring for a client in Westlake Village, CA, seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations across a commercial property portfolio. This is a direct hire, on-site opportunity offering long-term career growth for candidates with exposure to property management and a strong interest in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with tracking rent collections, preparing and sending tenant billings, and following up on delinquencies, including issuing notices when needed.
  • Support the coordination of vendor services and ensure routine inspections and maintenance tasks are scheduled and completed on time.
  • Help manage compliance with safety protocols, code requirements, and maintenance certifications such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and elevator inspections.
  • Conduct regular site visits (minimum twice a month) and document inspection reports with photos. Projects or renovations may require more frequent visits.
  • Act as a liaison for tenant service needs, including move-ins, move-outs, and general service requests.
  • Respond promptly to all communications (email, phone, etc.), including after-hours emergencies when necessary.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and operating expense reconciliations.
  • Help oversee vendor contracts and services including janitorial and building engineering.
  • Stay on top of lease agreements, renewals, and related documentation.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal team members through consistent communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in commercial property management or real estate support roles (exposure to the industry is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with lease terms, building operations, and service request workflows.
  • Working knowledge of building systems (elevators, HVAC, fire-life safety, plumbing, electrical) is helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
