Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized Property Management Assistant to support the Property Manager in a fast-paced environment. This role involves administrative tasks, tenant communication, record-keeping, and assisting with daily property management operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in office software, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Assistant Property Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager in day-to-day operations of government-subsidized properties.
- Perform data entry to update and maintain tenant records, lease agreements, and compliance documentation.
- Handle tenant inquiries, process applications, and assist with rent collection and notices.
- Support compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records for HUD, Section 8, and other government programs.
- Manage correspondence with tenants, vendors, and government agencies.
- Assist in scheduling inspections, maintenance requests, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation using Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with government regulations.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and organizing records.
Assistant Property Manager Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management, administrative support, or a government housing agency preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and property management software (preferred).
- Knowledge of HUD regulations, Section 8 programs, or government-subsidized housing procedures (preferred).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and government officials.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Assistant Property Manager Additional Details:
- Full time position Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with 30-minute break
- 21-25/hr.
