Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations across one or more residential or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will assist with tenant relations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and lease administration while ensuring a positive experience for all residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Property Manager with daily operations, tenant communications, and administrative support.
- Respond to tenant inquiries, maintenance requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Help coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including following up on work orders.
- Collect rent payments, issue receipts, and assist with delinquency follow-up.
- Support leasing activities such as tenant screenings, lease preparation, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures.
- Maintain accurate records including lease files, vendor contracts, and property reports.
- Conduct property walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with policies.
- Assist with vendor management, ensuring services are completed satisfactorily and invoicing is accurate.
- Provide backup coverage for the Property Manager during absences.
Requirements
- Must be able to travel between properties as needed.
- 3+ year of experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administration.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi) is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations is preferred.
