Booming Real Estate development firm seeks an entry level facilities property management specialist to run help operations on all assigned buildings and perform a variety of admin services This is a great role for someone who is starting their career in the industry. 1-2 years of experience is great.
This role requires someone to have a car due the number of buildings in the Northeast the firm manages.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with vendor coordination
- Leasing Agreements
- Assess mechanical and electrical equipment with supervision as needed.
- Perform tests and physical inspection of all fire suppression and alarm systems, providing technical support and cooperation with third party fire and life safety vendors and local fire departments.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of equipment being serviced and employ service procedures and techniques indicative of first-class work. Follow inspection and service procedures outlined in the preventative maintenance and loss control programs.
- Maintain a logbook on daily activities/events.
- Regularly inspect all areas of the building(s) and report deficiencies as well as suggestions for improvement.
- Assist in the monitoring of contractors, inspect work, and generate deficiency lists.
- Respond to tenant inquiries regarding building operations.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies such as fire, flooding, severe weather emergency conditions (including snow and ice removal) power outage and other situations including clean-up activities.
- Minimize risk by following industry standard practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of facilities or assistant property manager experience (industrial, or office building and/or experience is preferred)
- Driver's License and vehicle
- Familiarity with NFPA, standpipe, sprinkler and all fire and life safety systems
- Hands-on experience in the service and operation of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
