Our client is a commercial real estate firm and they are seeking an
Assistant Property Manager for mixed-use properties. Multifamily and commercial along with leasing experience is needed. Salary/Hourly Rate: $65k - $75k Position Overview: The Assistant Property Manager supports daily operations of a large mixed-use community in Boston, consisting of residential apartments, office and retail tenants, and a public garage. They will oversee leasing, tenant relations, property maintenance, financial performance, and team management. Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:
- Assist in managing daily operations of the mixed-use community including common areas and facilities.
- Ensure the property is well-maintained, secure, and compliant with local regulations.
- Support property inspections.
- Address maintenance, cleanliness, and operational issues.
- Show available units and spaces to prospective tenants.
- Assist in lease renewals, applications, and lease administration.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants.
- Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction across all property types.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial reports, tracking expenses and income.
- Oversee rent collections, payment processing, and lease compliance.
- Maintain tenant records and financial documents.
- Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy, and financial discrepancies.
- Prioritize and complete work orders.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors.
- Assist in marketing available apartments and support community events.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws and safety codes.
- Ensure property insurance policies and safety procedures are up-to-date.
- Assist in supervising, training, and scheduling staff, including leasing agents, maintenance teams, and administrative personnel.
Qualifications for the Assistant Property Manager:
- Experience as an Assistant Property Manager - multifamily market rate and commercial background.
- Leasing exposure.
- AP processing experience.
- AR collections experience.
- Budgeting and financial reporting experience.
- Polished, presents well, and high-end relationship building.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
