Assistant Project Scientist

Candidate must have a PhD in psychology and at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience related to brain injury research. Job responsibilities include supporting the PI in the design and execution of extramurally-funded projects examining the function of cortico-basal ganglia-thalamo-cortical circuits in consciousness and its disorders, with an emphasis on the role of the globus pallidus. The candidate must have a strong background in neuroimaging, with a focus on diffusion-weighted imaging, and disorders of consciousness. In addition, the candidate should have experience in analyzing neuroimaging datasets of both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. The project scientist should show a track record of supervising graduate and undergraduate students conducting research projects. A strong track record of obtaining extramural funding is preferred.
The position entails work effort equivalent to 40%.
