Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Parking Garage - Columbia, MD will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in coordinating and managing fast-paced hospitality, multifamily, and commercial construction projects ranging from $5M to $20M.
  • Supporting preconstruction efforts including estimating, subcontractor procurement, and schedule development.
  • Managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation to ensure timely communication and execution.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and clients to support project milestones and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Tracking project budgets, timelines, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Attending job site meetings and assisting with project closeout and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Hotel/Parking Garage - Columbia, MD will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of construction experience, ideally in commercial or hospitality sectors.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
  • Collaborative mindset with a desire to grow into a leadership role.
