Our client is the General Contracting arm of a nationally renowned firm that specializes in College Housing and Luxury Multifamily projects across the Southeastern US market. They are in need of a competent Assistant Project Manager with experience in Baton Rouge who can help with RFI's, Submittals, close out, 3rd party reports, OAC meetings, and field reports. This individual should be driven and desire a career in the industry.
This company has over 70 years of experience delivering successful projects from Development to Construction, with a yearly revenue target of $800M across the Central Region. Description
- Provide project management assistance through completion of projects on time and under budget
- Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential
- Help create, review, negotiate, and works with the project team to process the meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and requests for information
- Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
- Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget
- Develop a thorough understanding of the details of the project
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in Construction Management
- Experience in Baton Rouge and knowledge of local ordinances
- Multifamily background is required, podium and wrap experience is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field recommended
- Team player with a positive and driven attitude
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Desire to further career as a Project Manager
