Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach a minimum of three courses per semester, such as functional behavioral analysis, consultation and assessment, and other courses as needed. Manage, supervise and/or oversee the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, including training and instructing graduate students, working closely with families to communicate the learners progress and needs, and collaborating with University staff, administration, school districts and community members to ensure the success of the Center. Maintain an advising caseload of graduate students with primary assignment to graduate-level courses in School Psychology with additional assignment to include graduate and undergraduate teaching in special education program. Engage in professional research and scholarly activities consistent with the requirements for tenure and promotion. Pursue involvement in appropriate professional organizations at the national, regional, and/or state levels. Serve the 18 county service area as a school psychology and special education resource. Be actively involved in departmental, college, and university committees. Serve on doctoral student dissertation committees.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Doctorate in School Psychology or related field required. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

Previous clinical experience in assessment and intervention in a school setting is required.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Experience working with students with autism preferred. ABA certification and/or experience preferred. Experience teaching at the graduate level in the area of School Psychology and the undergraduate or graduate level in Special Education. Experience teaching behavioral intervention and consultation preferred. Eligible for Kentucky certification in School Psychology preferred. Experience in working with assessment and intervention preferred. Opportunity to obtain licensure as a psychologist and opportunity to contribute to training students in our existing on-campus assessment clinic.

Annual Salary:

$52,095 (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications)
