JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor of Robotics Engineering POSITION NUMBER: AS9098 HIRING SUPERVISOR: Department Chair DEPARTMENT: Mechanical, Robotics and Industrial Engineering TYPE: Full Time The A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical, Robotics, and Industrial Engineering at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of Robotics Engineering. Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field by the date of hire. The appointment will begin fall 2024. Particular areas of interest include, but are not limited to, sensing and perception, autonomous aerial and ground robotics, and robotic manipulation. The successful candidate will have a high potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a publication record commensurate with years since PhD obtained, and the ability to establish and conduct independent research. SUMMARY: Teach courses in robotics engineering as assigned by the department chair. Carry out scholarly work, including applied research. Serve the department, college, and the profession by undertaking committee work and leadership roles and by advising students.
