Job Description Housed within the College of Arts and Letters, ISU's Department of Psychology offers a BS and a BA in psychology, a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis, a PhD in general Experimental Psychology, and the state's only APA-accredited PhD in Clinical Psychology (scientist-practitioner model). Its Clinical Psychology PhD program also operates the ISU Psychology Clinic that serves as a clinical training and community mental health clinic. We are seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position, beginning in Fall 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a position in the Psychology Department which will contribute to multiple programs, including ISU's Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program and undergraduate BA/BS major curriculum. Applicants must come from an accredited clinical psychology doctoral program and be license-eligible in the State of Idaho. As a core member of the program's Clinical Training Committee, this faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate classes (including introduction to psychology, undergraduate research methods, and/or undergraduate basic statistics), provide clinical supervision, conduct research in their area of expertise, and mentor students on theses and dissertations across all ISU Psychology graduate programs. Competitive applicants will have strong research scholarship, an intention to seek external funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision of students. Research and clinical expertise complementary to the current faculty is welcome. Key Responsibilities This faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate classes (including introduction to psychology, undergraduate research methods, and/or undergraduate basic statistics), provide clinical supervision, conduct research in their area of expertise, and mentor students on theses and dissertations across all ISU Psychology graduate programs. Minimum Qualifications PhD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited PhD program License-eligible in the State of Idaho Preferred Qualifications Research and clinical expertise complementary to current faculty and consistent with the University's health mission, with a particular preference for applicants with research and/or clinical expertise in adolescents, eating disorders, multicultural/diversity topics, neuropsychology, substance use, suicidality, and/or trauma Strong research productivity and potential Intention to seek external funding Commitment to excellence and experience in teaching and mentoring Active engagement with and promotion of equity, inclusion, and belonging Interest in teaching introduction to psychology, undergraduate research methods, and/or undergraduate basic statistics Additional Information You must submit the following to be considered for this position: Current curriculum vitae A cover letter summarizing research, clinical, and teaching interests Graduate transcripts (unofficial is acceptable until position is confirmed) Representative publications (up to six) Three letters of recommendation (submitted by references to ) This position will remain open until it is filled, however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to February 1, 2025. Salary will be between $65,000 - $74,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
