The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a General Pediatrician in the Division Child and Adolescent Health.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the Primary Care provider for a panel of patients
- Supervise pediatric residents in PAC practice
- Develop and build a pediatric practice
- Stay current with general pediatric literature
- Participate in the academic mission of the Department of Pediatrics
- Publish at least once a year (journal, Miami Herald, other newspapers, abstract, poster
- Mentor residents in presenting (staff conference, paper, abstract, poster)
- Potentially develop complete and publish, clinical research project
- Develop and/or participate in QI projects
- Night call commensurate with the others in the division
- Help interview potential resident candidates
- Marketing opportunities as determined by the division director
- Any other duties, clinical or administrative as necessary to support the division
Other possible opportunities include:
- Clinical research within the clinical work
- Grant application for funded research
- University or Medical School or Departmental Committee work
Desired Qualifications:
- MD/DO Degree
- Completed Pediatric Residency in US
- BE/BC in Pediatrics
- Valid Florida medical license prior to start
- Maintain valid DEA license
