We are currently seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to support our Infrastructure and Transportation programmes. You will assist senior colleagues with various procurement activities, including preparing bid tendering documents.

Your purpose:

  1. Support sourcing, bid evaluation, selection, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services.
  2. Assist with evaluation criteria, selection, negotiations, and presenting recommendations for award, including the execution of purchase orders and contracts.
  3. Collect vendor information, costing data, schedules, and reports. Support supplier relationship management.
  4. Manage day-to-day contract activities, monitor supplier performance, and ensure milestones and deliverables are met within budget.
  5. Handle invoices, ensuring contract deliverables and payment milestones are achieved and approved.
  6. Liaise with stakeholders such as suppliers, technical leads, and project managers to meet technical, schedule, and cost targets. Support schedule and cost estimate development.
  7. Evaluate potential suppliers based on performance history and financial strength, maintaining positive vendor relationships.

Additionally, you may support the win-work team by researching, writing proposals, and drafting fee proposals.

  • A degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering, construction, or a related field.
  • Responsibility in client and stakeholder engagement, aiming to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to manage personal workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with various audiences and understand business challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial focus and a desire to learn, including interest in achieving MCIPS.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, consultants, and contractors.
