Title: Assistant Plant Manager

Salary: $55,000 to $80,000, Bonus eligible

Location: Milwaukee, WI


A highly successful and growing industrial products company is seeking to hire a talented Assistant Plant Manager to perform a variety of plant management responsibilities including assisting the Plant Manager with overseeing production, quality control, and staff management to ensure compliance with best practices.


Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a background in manufacturing or industrial operations and possess the ability to lead a team while ensuring continuous process enhancements. This opportunity offers significant growth potential with an industry leader.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities for the Assistant Plant Manager will include overseeing plant operations, production schedules, and collaborating with supervisors and site staff.
  • Assisting with managing raw material and packaging inventory while partnering with procurement and the supply chain.
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and plant performance metrics.
  • Coordinating warehouse operations and communicating with staff to ensure workplace safety procedures and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing production reports on operational efficiency for senior management, and participating in hiring, training, and performance management of plant employees.
  • Act as Plant Manager as needed and making key related operational decisions
  • Participating in special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, or related field preferred.
  • 3-8 plus years of experience in manufacturing, plant, or facility operations.
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and
  • Ability to train and supervise teams.
