Summary/Objective

The firm seeks candidates who actively enjoy high-stakes litigation and trial work, are committed to providing superior client service, and wish to continue to learn and grow in their roles.

Assistant Paralegals on our litigation team will get hands-on experience. We are looking for people with strong organizational and time management skills, who want to eventually be able to manage a complex caseload from start to finish. A strong technology aptitude is key to this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist litigation teams in all aspects of the case, including file maintenance and organization.
  • Request and track medical and other records.
  • Organize and manage large volumes of documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
  • Track and Summarize case information under the direction of the Sr. Paralegal
  • Maintain files and database records in an orderly and timely fashion.
  • Organize records, documents, and correspondence into firm standard filing systems.
  • Assist in trial preparation.
  • Develops, maintains, and refines processes for the initial review of incoming cases, with guidance from the Sr. Paralegal
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time and workload efficiently which includes recording all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of prior litigation experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently and as a part of a team environment.
  • Great work ethic: results-oriented, disciplined, conscientious, thorough, and diligent.
  • Organized and professional, with strong interpersonal skills

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including lunch hour. This is a full-time position working from our Denver office. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly pay rate when the employee works more than 40 hours in a Sunday through Saturday work week.


Travel

Travel is limited and primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be needed to attend conferences or other professional functions.


Salary Range: $53,000 - 56,000 annually. The final salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Additionally, the firm provides standard benefits including health insurance, 401(k) contribution, and paid time off, with annual bonus potential based on firm performance.
