This position is accountable for producing the following results:
The Full-time Assistant Operations Manager ensures that all properties meet Humming Host's rigorous standards. This role is about effectiveness, efficiency, and problem-solving in a timely manner.
Strategic Work:
- Quality Control - ensuring that all properties meet Humming Host's rigorous standards, including pristine condition of the properties at all time, inside and outside, a preventative maintenance schedule, and cleanliness of the properties as well as the owner storages and stocking rooms at 2 locations (West End and Downtown), our 2 centralized hubs; and
- On-site management of the Guest Experience.
Tactical Work:
- Daily Quality Control
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of all information and assignments in Breezeway, and ensure the successful completion of all assigned tasks. This includes reviewing information under "profile" for each new property, reviewing and maintaining accuracy of cleaning checklists for each property, and ensuring tasks do not go overdue;
- Oversee the housekeeping team and conduct routine cleaning inspections for all units prior to guest arrival; communicate issues to housekeeping manager and escalate to Operations Manager as needed;
- Routinely monitor the condition of all units, coordinate maintenance, including preventative maintenance, and supervise maintenance personnel, vendors and contractors;
- Supervise Runners and ensure all assigned tasks are completed correctly and timely;
- Provide input to Operations Manager for improvement of Operations SOPs; and
- Execute onboarding tasks assigned by Owner Success Manager with respect to new properties, including onboarding checklist, order of linens and amenities for new properties, test wifi, check accuracy of each listing, etc.
- On-site management of Guest Experience: troubleshoot guest issues, occasionally guests at check-in
- Manage and fulfill all guest requests communicated by Guest Services Coordinators during the stay;
- Serve as on-site point of contact for guests with issues or complaints, with the help of runners.
- Report to the Operations Manager via message, and meetings: summarize your actions, raise any concerns, and escalate any pending issues
YOUR MISSION: Any issue raised by a guest, a cleaner, or an inspector must be handled within 24 hours, from start to finish. In the rare cases that additional time is needed (e.g. a piece needs to be ordered), all parties are informed via the Handover, and the resolution steps are clearly communicated.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License - Required
Reliable Personal Vehicle - Candidate must have access to their own car for transportation
Home is within a 20 mile radius
Work Authorization - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Spanish Speaker - Preferred but not required
Work Schedule & Physical Requirements - Must be able to start early, remain on their feet for extended periods, and perform tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
College degree preferred
At least 2 years of experience in Hospitality
At least 1 year of experience in Operations (front desk, maintenance, housekeeping) or in a short term rental management company
Organizational skills
Tech-Saavy (we work with multiple applications, including smart locks, cameras, and productivity tools)
Handy (knows how to unclog a toilet, troubleshoot a tech issue, use a drill, tidy up furniture, change an air filter, fix a shower curtain rod, etc)
Resourceful: tries to find the solution before asking for help

Competitive Salary: Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year, depending on experience
