Responsibilities The Associate, Local Broadcast works closely with teams on the implementation, monitoring, and stewardship of approved plans for all local broadcast schedules.
Negotiation - Maintain lowest rate structure available for all clients and track this cost data to ensure an accurate cost guide
- Deliver the most efficient costs while estimating the anticipated target audience delivery accurately
Maintenance - Negotiate, adjust, and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals and estimates
- Work with Supervisor and Senior Associate on the account and various agency assignments to meet budget requirements, trp, and budget goals
- Provide tracking reports and post-buy delivery analyses on quarterly and annual bases
- Fulfill client requests, collect data and information regarding television ratings/programming and industry/ marketplace/ technology trends
- Execute all buys within client media specifications by the assigned deadlines to ensure client air dates are met
- Update all current, on-air schedules to ensure station delivery within negotiated agreement and/or to respond to any new problems or opportunities that may develop
- Manage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and accounting functions for accounts and markets on a timely basis
- Post-analyze every buy to original audience estimates and negotiate any additional under delivery weight necessary to achieve goals
- Maintain accurate records of buys, budgets, revisions, credits, etc.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies on a timely basis
- Write POV's for all market specific sponsorships
Media Expertise - Attend internal and external media presentations
- Meet with sales representatives and vendors
- Keep abreast of industry trends through trade press and current events
- Master the latest computer software used for Agency functions
- Communicate pertinent market information to Strategy and account group(s) as necessary
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications, MIS or stats preferred but not required
- Proficient with data analysis in Excel, including Pivot Tables & basic statistics, work in site side analytics platforms (Google analytics, Adobe analytics) is a plus
- Analytical skillset to understand raw data and turn it into actionable insights
- A proactive self-starter
- Strong time management and organizational skills being able to manage multiple projects at once
- Interface and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop a deep understanding of the capabilities and limits of the technologies we employ
- Interest in building a career within the local broadcast space
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range
$40,000-$45,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
