Overview:Seeking a motivated and experienced IT professional to help lead IT business planning and cybersecurity initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role combines elements of site reliability engineering (SRE), IT business operations, and information security, with the goal of optimizing systems that support production, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Partner with IT security and SRE teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient IT systems.
- Assist in developing and enforcing IT security policies, procedures, and asset management practices.
- Support the daily operation of security systems such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, proxies, email security, and identity access tools.
- Participate in IT incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, vulnerability assessment, and resolution.
- Stay up to date on evolving security technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Continuously enhance skills related to security operations, software development practices, and infrastructure reliability.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, SRE, or related IT fields.
- Proven experience in IT asset management, system operations, and security planning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, high-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Splunk, ELK, or similar monitoring solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex technical tasks.
