Stevie's Kitchen USS Alabama is a restaurant located at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. We are open 364 days a year from 9 am - 4 pm. During our busy season April thru September we stay open until 5 pm. We are a fast paced quick-serve restaurant that serves food cooked-to-order. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager, with at least 5 years relevant experience, to perform the following duties daily:
- Supervision and Management:
- Must be able to follow and implement instructions from executive chef.
- Oversee and supervise kitchen staff , including line cooks and prep cooks .
- Delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Train new employees and manage staff performance.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of ingredients.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
Food Preparation and Quality:

- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the executive chef on menu planning and recipe development.
- Handle opening, closing, and side duties as directed by the executive chef.
Administrative Tasks:

- Assist with menu planning and pricing.
- Manage scheduling and payroll.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and costs.
Other Duties:

- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment.
- Able and willing to work at our other restaurant locations as needed.
