We're searching for an experienced assistant general manager to help our general manager plan and oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations. When the general manager is unavailable, you will be in charge of supervising personnel, dealing with client problems, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a 5-star experience. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service while adhering to hotel policies and quality standards. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management and two years of managerial experience in the hospitality business are strongly preferred. • Assist general manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel in maintaining all standards of guest service
• Verify that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as any business or brand-specific policies and procedures, are followed
• Supervise and train staff
• Address guest needs and issues
• Work with front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations
• Oversee daily tasks, guest services, and resolve issues or concerns
• Ensure guest satisfaction
• Implement and enforce safety and security procedures
• Maintain accurate records of operations, guest information, and financial data
• Handle escalated customer queries and grievances
• Assist in the preparation and inspection of units for sale or show, making sure that each unit is cleaned thoroughly and everything is in working order
• Ensure the cleanliness of common areas daily, including walkways, trash, parking lot, entrance doors and windows, guest laundry/ fitness center
• Assist with folding laundry and distributing evenly between the 1st and 2nd floor stockrooms as needed
• Receive daily assignments and projects from the General Manager and complete in a timely manner
• On call for emergencies or lockouts on GM days off (compensation provided) Qualifications:
• Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
• A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role, is required
• 2+ years of experience working in the hospitality field required
• Must be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Please be aware that this role requires active engagement across the property, it is most certainly NOT a desk job. Compensation: $17 hourly
