Assistant Hospital Administrator We are seeking a creative and well-rounded leader to join our team as our Assistant Hospital Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth and development of a thriving 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital, alongside a dynamic and supportive team committed to clinical excellence and compassionate care.
The Assistant Hospital Administrator will work closely with the Hospital Administrator (HA), Medical Director (MD), and Lead CSR to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, deliver high-quality client service, and support our mission to foster well-being in our community by nurturing the human-animal bond.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities - Support the HA and MD in hospital operations
- Supervise and mentor CSRs, veterinary technicians, and assistants
- Coordinate and manage staff schedules, including shift coverage
- Assist with onboarding, training, staff development, and performance reviews
- Assist OSHA Safety Officer; ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate on internal and external marketing and outreach efforts
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping
- Ensure proper facilities and equipment maintenance
- Uphold a positive workplace culture centered on respect, compassion, and accountability
- Promote efficiency and best practices in daily workflow
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and supporting new staff members
Schedule Requirements Due to the nature of emergency veterinary care, schedule flexibility is essential.
This role includes:
- On-call availability every other weekend as part of a leadership rotation
- The ability to work some weekends and holidays
- Being on-site (this is not a remote position)
Who We're Looking For: Qualifications - Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with HR, scheduling and payroll
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced ER environment
- Veterinary industry experience preferred, but not required-we'll train the right candidate
