Summary/Objective The Assistant Volleyball Coaching position in the Athletic Department at University Schools will be a varsity assistant and JV or C-Team assistant coach. This position's salary is set based on experience/qualifications and the cocurricular stipend pay schedule as approved by the Board of Governors. No benefits are available for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Organization and development of volleyball program in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
- Development and implementation of daily practices.
- Scouting of upcoming opponents and implementation of game plan.
- Being a positive role model for all of the student-athletes at the school.
- Know and understand CHSAA rules and regulations.
- Complete administrative elements necessary for advancement of the program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of current physical education instructional methods, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding education and students, as well as relating to health education.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Volleyball experience/qualifications, experience in mentoring students.
- CHSAA athletic and coaching certificate.

Working Conditions - Works in standard office and school building environments.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate, but occasionally high depending upon student population and activities.
About our School For over 100 years the school operated as the UNC Laboratory School on the campus of the University of Northern Colorado. In 2001, the school became an independent K-12 charter school in Weld County District 6 and changed its name to University Schools. In August of 2002, the school moved to a new facility and has a population of 1,700 students.
