Under the direction of the Chief Assistant General Manager of the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA), the Assistant General Manager (AGM), Risk Management formulates, recommends, and participates in the setting of risk management and related policies of the organization. The position is a key member of the agency's Executive Management team and actively participates in planning and policy development strategy sessions pertaining to all departmental matters and programs.

Special Requirements Upon a conditional job offer, the selected candidate will be required to clear live scan and a tuberculosis (TB) test.
This position is subject to reasonable suspician drug testing pursuant to 2 CCR 599.960.
In addition to the Standard State Application (STD 678), all interested applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The SOQ is comprised of four factors which address how each candidate's education, training, experience, and skills qualify them for the position. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information in a clear and concise manner. The SOQ must be no longer than two (2) typed single sided pages. This will be the only tool used for determining your final score and rank on the eligibility list for the position. The SOQ must include relevant examples of experience and be numbered with factor question in the order the following factors are presented:
Factor 1: Describe your knowledge and experience implementing and supporting complex supply chain software applications. Please include any experience you have designing and delivering support, training models, and/or ongoing system enhancements.
Factor 2: Provide an example of a time when you led a process improvement or process re-engineering effort. Please include what steps you took to analyze the existing process and how you addressed organizational change to management.
Factor 3: Using specific examples, describe your knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: audits, identifying and assessing risks, and/or maintaining program integrity.
Factor 4: Provide specific examples of how you have achieved positive results in either implementing an occupational safety and health field construction safety program, coordinating an occupational safety and health safety and security training program, or developing a robust safety and security policy and procedure plan.
